The San Antonio Spurs paid a visit to the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday night and it was an extremely short night for Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich. Just over one minute into the game Popovich made sure to let the officials know how he felt about their officiating early on and they reacted by tossing him from the game.
Following the game Popovich happened to be walking by as Nuggets head coach Mike Malone was being interviewed by the media and decided to pop in on the scrum to joke about his ejection.
The Nuggets cruised to a 113-85 victory over the Popovich-less Spurs to inch a little closer to the Golden State Warriors atop the Western Conference standings. As for the Spurs, they dropped to 8th seed in the conference.
