The most surprising story of the NHL this season is unequivocally the Vegas Golden Knights.
Sitting first overall in the Pacific Division, the expansion team has shattered expecations and surprised everyone, and just three points behind the Tampa Bay Lightning for first overall at the all-star break.
Vegas is well represented at the All Star Game in Tampa, as no other Western Conference team has more than three members from their organization involved in the mini games. Head coach Gerard Gallant is the bench boss for the Team Pacific team that includes Golden Knights James Neal and Marc-Andre Fleury.
But Gallant, Fleury and Neal weren’t the only three members of the Vegas team down in Tampa.
The Golden Knights mascot Chance was also in attendance for his first ever All Star Game, and he tweeted out a pretty funny photo poking some fun at the fact that he was in a rookie class of his own at the festivities.
After being bumped up to the sixth overall spot in the BarDown Rankings last week, Chance has, well, a good chance for keeping a spot in the top ten with that photo.
Luckily for Chance, the other mascots embraced the young rookie and took him under their wing as he met young fans around the festivities in Tampa.
