If there was an Oscar for NHL referees, Wes McCauley would win it in a landslide. No other official in hockey, scratch that, in SPORTS makes review or penalty calls so suspenseful and entertaining.
If you don't believe us, the GOAT was back at it again Tuesday night in Washington. At the time of the review for T.J. Oshie's goal, the game was a blowout, but McCauley's dramatic call had everyone at the edge of their seats.
Give this man all the awards. Every single one of them.
Like every player, McCauley is gearing up for a long playoff run and we can't wait for his first review of the postseason because it's going to be magical.
