There’s no place in the world for bullying.
Last week, Rhys Porter, a 13-year old Fulham FC supporter who has cerebral palsy, experienced online bullying after he posted footage of himself playing soccer.
Well, Rhys happened to be at the Fulham-Bristol City match on Saturday and his favourite team made it clear that they’ve got his back as they celebrated their lone goal of the day with the young man.
That was just one of the few kind gestures the club did to show their support for Rhys, as they also had him out for practice earlier this week and even gave him his own profile and added him to the first squad on the team’s website.
It’s really awesome to see the club step up the way that it did and reminded Rhys and everyone else that sports are for everyone and there’s no place for bullying in sports or in the world.
