Thursday and beyond, one of the things that will be debated by many is what happened Wednesday night in Atlanta.
On the first pitch of the game, Marlins pitcher Jose Urena drilled Ronald Acuna Jr. who was riding a three-game leadoff home run streak. Acuna Jr. left the game and didn't return and while the Braves beat the Marlins, all anyone could talk about after the contest was that one pitch.
There were differing opinions on social media, but for the most part it seemed like the the majority of baseball fans and players felt that Urena intentionally hit Acuna Jr. The Braves players were obviously asked about the incident and Freddie Freeman had some strong words for Urena.
Freeman's teammates and Atlanta's manager echoed that same message when they were asked about the incident.
While everyone awaits a decision from MLB in regards to further discipline, baseball fans and the Braves are hoping Acuna Jr. can get back on the field as soon as possible.
