A majority of people around the world are practicing social distancing right now and a lot of them have spent at least the past two weeks indoors. However, we are living in 2020, so there are plenty of ways for people to keep in touch with their friends and family including all sorts of different apps and programs that offer video messaging.

Athletes are in the same boat as everyone else, so a lot of them have been using their time at home to go on Instagram Live and chat with other athletes and answer fan questions.

On Monday night, Fred VanVleet went live with his DeMar DeRozan and they spent a lot of the time reliving their time together as teammates in Toronto, which included recalling their favourite Kyle Lowry moment.

VanVleet and DeRozan couldn’t help but laugh when thinking of the time Dwane Casey tried to take Kyle Lowry out of a scrimmage during a practice and Lowry responded by sitting down in the middle of the court with the ball and basically said, no one else can practice, then.

Fred then went on and mentioned how that was one of his first tastes of the NBA and thought his teammates were a little crazy, and the went on to mention how he’s basically the new DeMar DeRozan on the team who tells guys to let Lowry do his thing and just let him be.

It’s not game action, but the players have done a pretty good job keeping fans entertained.
