The world of professional wrestling is full of eccentric personalities, but one of the most prominent is that of CM Punk. Punk found a ton of success in the WWE, becoming the fastest wrestler to achieve the WWE’s prestigious Triple Crown Championship. Among other achievements, Punk became one of the most recognizable figures in the sport, and was popular with the fans for his success as well as his straight-edge persona.

Punk left the WWE four years ago and actually pursued a career in the vastly different UFC. Punk’s debut did not go well, as he was submitted by Mickey Gall in the 1st round of a Welterweight tilt. While he is still currently signed by the UFC, Punk’s overall record still stands at an unimpressive 0-1-0.

Now WWE fans are trying to get Punk back, but in two trolling tweets Punk dismissed fans and simultaneously showed support to his favourite baseball team – the Chicago Cubs. Upon fans asking him if he was “in” for the “All In” wrestling spectacle in September, Punk responded in reference to his ball clubs slogan.

It was no secret that Punk was a Cubs’ fan before now, in fact he one time took it upon himself to lead Wrigley Field in the singing of “Take Me Out to the Ballgame”

It’s not the answer Punk’s fans were looking for, but it’s nice to hear from the decorated wrestler nonetheless.
