Anton Slepyshev was selected 88th overall in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft by the Edmonton Oilers and went on to spend three seasons with the organization. However, after bouncing back and forth between the Oilers and the Bakersfield Condors, the 24-year-old returned back to Russia this past offseason as he joined CSKA Moscow of the KHL on a two-year deal.
In 30 games this season, the former Oilers prospect has scored eight goals and totaled 12 points, but the nicest goal of the season came this past weekend against SKA Saint Petersburg.
Despite falling to the ice on both knees, Slepyshev still managed to score a super impressive goal by going top shelf to get his team on the board before the end of the period.
The goal appeared to play a role in changing momentum in the game as CSKA Moscow went on to score two more goals to win 3-1.
