Odell Beckham Jr. is trying to focus on the future, but former Bengals great and CBS analyst Boomer Esiason is still dwelling on his past.

In an interview with NJ.com, Esiason claimed the wide receiver’s quad injury is not what kept him sidelined at the end of the 2018 season. Instead, the 58-year-old believes it was his attitude all along. Esiason went as far as claiming OBJ quit on the team after hitting the 1,000 yards mark towards the end of the year.

Beckham Jr. compiled 1,052 yards and six touchdowns in just 12 games last season before the reported injury. Through five seasons, the 26-year-old posted an eye-opening 5,476 total yards with 390 receptions and 44 TDs. Prior to last season he signed a (at the time) record-breaking five-year, $95 million deal and was ultimately sent packing less than a year later to Cleveland In exchange for a 2019 first & third, along with safety Jabrill Peppers.

Listen, say what you want about the guy but when it comes down to it, Odell is actually a pretty solid dude. He appears to be doing everything he can to make a solid impression on the people of Cleveland.

Let the OBJ-Baker Mayfield era begin!
