Phillip Lindsay saved a lot of people’s fantasy football seasons this year as the undrafted rookie running back tore it up for the Denver Broncos with 1,037 rushing yards, 241 receiving yards and 10 total touchdowns, while starting just eight of the 15 games he appeared in.

The 24-year-old was selected to represent the Denver Broncos and the AFC in this year’s Pro Bowl, but he finds himself in a bit of a situation since he’s currently injured. Although Lindsay won’t get to play in the Pro Bowl, he’s still allowed to attend the game since he’s still an All-Star, but he’ll have to pay his own way.

Because he’s injured, Lindsay isn’t eligible for compensation. The NFL pays travel expenses only for full participants, who also  make $70,000 for being on the winning team or $35,000 on the losing team.

The Broncos are prohibited from paying Lindsay’s way under salary cap rules.

You’re probably thinking that because he’s an NFL player, and a Pro Bowler, he’ll be able to pay his way no problem. But let’s not forget that he’s an undrafted rookie making $495,000 this season and is still living in his parents’ house. Broncos fans certainly didn’t forget about this and they’ve decided to start a GoFundMe campaign to cover Lindsay’s travel costs for him so he can still attend the game.

The goal is set at $5,000 and the page has already raised more than $3,000 in 24 hours thanks to the donations from 90 people.

They’ll most likely hit the goal for Lindsay, but hopefully the Broncos decide to step up and cover his travel costs since he barely makes a dent on their overall team salary cap.
