Washington was never really in the game against the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football as the visitors jumped out to an early lead and never looked back.

On the Bears’ side it was their defence, Mitch Trubisky and Taylor Gabriel making headlines, while on Washington’s side it was rookie wide receiver Terry McLaurin and the man in charge of stirring the Gatorade with an entire pack of plastic cups.

It happened at the start of the second half, as he was caught in the background of the shot of Jay Gruden, and football fans were quick with the jokes.

The hero we never knew we needed. 🐐

We can’t give him all the credit, but Washington did manage to make it a little closer in the second half by outscoring Chicago 12-3. Unfortunately for the hosts, they didn’t mix the Gatorade early enough and they still lost.

Washington will pay a visit to the New York Giants next week in search of their first victory of the season and enough spoons to mix their Gatorade for the rest of the season.
