You don’t have to be a die-hard hockey fan to know Peter Laviolette is one of the NHL’s more animated coaches. But if you're not aware, a moment captured from his team’s series against the Winnipeg Jets will give you a strong idea of how heated he can get during game time.

In a 6-2 loss to the Jets in Game 5 of their Western Conference series, Ryan Hartman received a penalty for taking down Mark Scheifele. The Jets superstar appeared to embellish the play, which didn’t pass by Laviolette on the bench. The 53-year-old was irate as he let his lungs fly from the sideline. The footage was captured on ESPN’s Quest for the Cup.

“You let that Scheifele dive again.”

To make matters worse, Mathieu Perreault capitalized on the opportunity to increase the Jets’ lead to four. Two games later, Winnipeg would go on to knock off the Preds in a deciding Game 7 in the Music City.

This of course was far from the first time the bench boss was captured losing his cool. Here’s a look at one of his more memorable moments.

With the Preds out, Laviolette will have the summer to regroup before next season. Just don’t be surprised if he’s losing his mind again from the bench in a year’s time.
