People around the world have been stepping up in different ways over the past few days and we’ve seen a lot of people in the spotlight use their platform to share pretty powerful stances against racism, injustice and police brutality.
On Monday, Leonard Ellerbe, the CEO of Mayweather Promotions, confirmed to Steve Kim of ESPN that Floyd Mayweather will be paying for George Floyd’s funeral services after the retired boxer reached out to George’s family to make sure it was alright with them.
George Floyd died last week in Minneapolis after officer Derek Chauvin kneeled on his neck for more than eight minutes.
"He'll probably get mad at me for saying that, but yes, [Mayweather] is definitely paying for the funeral," Leonard Ellerbe, the CEO of Mayweather Promotions, told ESPN on Monday.
