The first half of Saturday’s game between Florida and Missouri came to a dramatic end, when a late hit on Florida quarterback Kyle Trask prompted both teams to engage in an all-out brawl.
Florida head coach Dan Mullen was one of the first to storm the field over the hit, and after both teams returned to their locker rooms, Mullen came back out to get the crowd fired up in what was honestly a surreal scene.
How often do you see a head coach playing to the crowd, WWE style, after a benches-clearing brawl like that? Given Mullen’s prominent role in the initial stages of the confrontation, it’ll be interesting to see what kind of punishments come down after league officials review the tape.
Oh, and by the way, nothing that happened on the field could top the kicker, which is Dan Mullen appearing in a full Darth Vader costume after the game to discuss the brawl.
