When it comes to leadership you want a veteran who has been through it to lead your team when times are tough. In soccer a team captain is incredibly important to the structure of the team. A manager is also usually much older than his squad as they must lead a big group into battle every weekend.

Times are changing however, as we have seen in the NFL and the NBA coaches and people in leadership are getting younger and younger. This is what happened recently with German powerhouse FC Bayern and this new manager who is the ripe age of 33. This makes him younger than the team’s captain Manuel Neuer.

He was hired from fellow German club RB Leipzig which also sold arguable their best player to Bayern as well.

Looks like the team in Leipzig might be in rebuild mode.
