The Simpsons have a great track record of predicting future events, some of which pertain to sports. From the World Cup Final to the United States beating Sweden in curling, sporting events in the show always seemingly become a reality.
If that's the case, then Colorado Avalanche fans should start getting excited because on the latest episode of The Simpsons, there was a particular scene with a Stanley Cup lamp and Quebec Nordiques carpeting.
This could mean two things, the Nordiques are coming back sometime in the future, or the Colorado Avalanche (formerly the Nordiques) will win the Stanley Cup this year.
The Avalanche did even their series with the Sharks Sunday night and are three wins away from advancing to the Conference Final. If they win, you can thank The Simpsons, too, Avs fans.
