At the beginning of Sunday night’s Capitals game, Brett Connolly tossed three pucks over the glass in an attempt to get a puck to one little girl and everyone has an opinion about it.
The video of this happening went viral, because as the first two pucks come over, an adult catches the pucks and gives them to children other than the girl it looked like they were intended for. She looked devastated after missing out on a couple of pucks, but Connolly comes through in the end, tosses a third puck over the glass and she’s finally able to get her hands on it.
The video was received in two ways:
- “What an adorable video!”
- Hating on the adult for giving the pucks to kids that weren’t intended to receive them.
That obviously led to a lot of arguments in comment sections, some people saying that the father made the smart move, getting a puck for each one of his kids (Which is actually what the commentators suggested might be the case at the time) – others saying that they were all the same family and she would have got a puck in the end no matter what. Well, the mother of the girl in the video eventually responded and it seems to have upset people up even more.

It seems the only thing that fans can agree on about this video is that Connolly is the best. He could have tossed a puck over and then moved on with his night, but he did the admirable thing of making sure that little girl got her puck.
