Sometimes sports are so intense you end up in situations that, errr, you wouldn’t have otherwise. The stakes are so high, the emotions are flowing, and you’re much more vulnerable to those pesky impulsive decisions or promises.
One Atlanta Braves fan knows that all too well, or at least now she does.
In the moment, a Braves fan named Caitlin Pannell was so hyped up during a do or die Game 3 against the Los Angeles Dodgers that she took to Twitter to make an ill-advised promise. With the bases loaded and Ronald Acuna at the plate, Pannell tweeted out that she wanted a grand slam so bad that she would literally get his face tattooed on her if he hit it out of the park.
Well, guess what happened…
Pannell, while likely extremely happy about the dinger, probably had a moment of “uh oh” simultaneously. Sure enough, the Tweet from moments before started getting shared around all over the place. Even the Braves themselves made sure to let her know “we saw that…”
Fast forward a few days, the Braves are eliminated and Pannell has some fresh new ink!
Woop, there it is! Have to wonder if she regrets sending out that now-viral tweet. Regardless, it could be worse.
