Marcus Stroman shows a lot of personality everywhere he goes, so it shouldn’t be surprising that his warmup routine is just as unique.
As Stroman was getting ready to pitch on Friday night, he was in the Blue Jays bullpen warming up and one fan managed to capture the entirety of his routine. He starts off by laying out several pieces of gum, then putting all six into his mouth and doing a little dancing before completing his stretching.
Not much has gone right for the Blue Jays this season, but if there is one bright spot it would have to be the play of Marcus Stroman.
The 26-year-old will come close to pitching over 200 innings for the second year in a row and he currently sits fourth in the AL in ERA. On the other end of the spectrum, the Blue Jays finally ruled out their other star pitcher, Aaron Sanchez, for the remainder of the season.
Sanchez was only able to start 8 games this season with mixed results. If the Blue Jays hope to bounce back in 2018, they will definitely need both of their youngsters healthy.
