We all know Toronto has one super A-List celebrity sports fan in Drake. He could be seen all over the courtside during the Raptors historical championship run, including but not limited to RIGHT in the face of opposing players. For a guy that logged 0 minutes on the score sheet, he logged a full 48 every night he was there.
We all know what Drake is to the Raptors, but lately there’s been another celebrity very publically cheering on a Toronto team – Justin Bieber and the Toronto Maple Leafs!
We all remember when Justin Bieber posted like seven photos of Auston Matthews in a row to his Instagram. A very strange move for most, but for Biebs it’s just his social presence. The popstar can also often be seen attending Leafs games, and during Saturday’s victory over the New York Islanders he was even seen high-flying fans he could reach from his box seats.
After the game, he showed a little love to his favourite player as well.
One fan noticed something pretty hilarious about the video. Biebs appears to be rocking the same jacket the Leafs gave him when he visited the team a long, long time ago. How long ago?
Say what you want about Biebs, but that’s the kind of longevity that shows a true fan. If the Leafs manage to make a run to the Stanley Cup Final, you better expect Bieber to be alongside the whole way.
He may not have the ability to jump around rinkside the way Drake did, but he’ll be high-fiving all the fans!
