We know that you always see something new whenever you go to the ballpark, but Tuesday night in Cincinnati was a special one.

In the bottom of the ninth inning, tempers finally boiled over as Amir Garrett rushed the Pirates’ dugout and started a bench-clearing brawl. One of the most active players in the bench-clearing brawl happened to be Yasiel Puig, who was traded to the Cleveland Indians just minutes before it all went down.

Since the trade happened in the middle of the game, Puig might not have known about the trade just yet, and he wouldn’t have been the only player out of the loop. Moments after the trade was announced, one of the fans sitting beyond the outfield wall ended up breaking the news to Reds left fielder Jesse Winker.

It’s pretty cool when you get to break a trade to one of your friends or relatives, it’s even cooler when you get to break the news to a professional athlete who happens to be teammates with the player who just got traded.
