Football is a sport that is absolutely seeping with passion. It’s not uncommon to see two players jawing after a play, and trash-talk is basically the official language of the league.
Saying that, sometimes the rivalries go beyond football. This was the case on Sunday when Golden Tate of the New York Giants and Jalen Ramsey of the Los Angeles Rams met on the gridiron.
Ramsey certainly has a way of getting under his opponent’s skin, but the situation with Tate is a little extra dramatic. Ramsey reportedly had a relationship with Tate’s sister, Breanna, which he ended while she was pregnant with their second child.
Tate has spoken about his displeasure with the Rams’ defensive back in the past.
“I’m not happy at all with the disrespect that he’s shown towards my sister, and the things he’s done in the past, but I don’t really want to go too much into it,” Tate told the New York Post in 2019.
The two finally met on the field, and the fireworks began before the fight when Ramsey delivered a huge hit on Tate for a loss.
After the game, the two found each other during handshakes and duked it out.
