Hey. Do you guys remember the 2016 NBA Finals, when the Golden State Warriors blew a 3-1 lead to the Cleveland Cavaliers?
Seriously, the internet will never let the Warriors live that one down. After the latest news from the team β Steph Curry, who was originally targeting a return from his hand injury on March 1st (also known as 3/1), will instead continue to sit out β everyone was making the same 3-1 joke.
Honestly, the Warriors shouldβve seen this coming. Four years of 3-1 jokes and they still tried to schedule something for March 1st?
The Warriors donβt really have much to play for this season, other than hoping to establish some rhythm between Curry and his new teammate Andrew Wiggins, but itβll be nice to get one of the gameβs best shooters on the court eventually.
Interestingly, it looks like his next return date could be... in a Finals rematch against the Toronto Raptors. (Although without Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson and Kawhi Leonard, how much of a rematch is it, really?)
