Even the most casual of baseball fans have likely seen a wooden bat break during a plate appearance at some point in their life, as it's a fairly common occurrence. But how many baseball fans can say that they've seen an aluminum bat break on impact?

This past weekend during an NCAA baseball game between Vanderbilt and Florida, Gators catcher JJ Schwarz recorded an RBI single after somehow managing to break his bat.

Thankfully the bat flew off to the side, as that could have been a real ugly site had it gone back towards the mound.
