Evander Kane's time with the Buffalo Sabres came to an end on Monday afternoon as the 26-year-old was dealt to the San Jose Sharks with time winding down on trade deadline day.
The Vancouver, BC native has had his name come up in trade rumours for many years now, but the deal finally got done and now he's going to finish the season in a Sharks uniform.
Following the trade between the two teams, Kane packed up his bags and left a message for fans before departing town for his new temporary home.
Kane spent 196 games with the Sabres and totaled 68 goals and 50 assists for 118 points and sat third on the Sabres in total points this year with 20 goals and 20 assists in 61 games.
