Are the New York Jets trying to find ways to lose? It sure seems that way at this point of the season.

Big Green entered their Sunday matinee with the Oakland Raiders at 0-11 and a winless season seemed almost inevitable heading into the contest, but that all almost changed. The Jets stormed a fourth quarter comeback and found themselves up 28-24 in the dying seconds. But in classic Jets fashion, they managed to blow the lead after Henry Ruggs quite easily caught a Hail Mary in the dying seconds to give the Raiders the 31-28 win. The loss should actually come as good news to Jets fans, as it will only help their chances of landing first overall pick Trevor Lawrence.

So, Evander Kane made sure to state the obvious on his Twitter account and we don’t think many people are disagreeing with him…

As for the actual play… maybe he has a point?!

Man coverage against one of the fastest receivers in the league on the last play of the game. Makes sense!

It would really, really suck if Trevor Lawrence didn’t even declare for the draft this year but hey, a first overall pick is still a first overall pick. The Jets have the Seahawks, Rams, Browns, and Patriots on tap to close out the season… good luck!
