Entering his first full season with the San Jose Sharks, rugged power forward Evander Kane is ready to get the ball rolling.
The 26-year-old Vancouver product signed a seven-year, $49,000,000 extension in the off-season to stay in the Bay Area after being acquired just before last season's NHL trade deadline from the Buffalo Sabres.
Kane is one of the more outgoing personalities in the NHL and is never afraid to speak his mind or have some fun away from the rink.
Catching up with the NHL's social and digital team, the nine-year veteran broke down the meaning of his tattoos. Kane also took a stab at guessing some of his teammates' tattoos by merely looking at their bodies.
Kane pays homage to his hometown by incorporating the stunning scenery Vancouver has to offer. He also includes his sisters and parents' initials, along with the street he grew up on.
As for his fellow NHLers (and former players -- sorry BizNasty!), Kane had some pretty good guesses on Bissonnette, Michael Grabner and Brent Burns' tattys.
"I feel like I've seen this in the shower a couple of times."
In 17 games with the Sharks last season, Kane exploded with 9 goals and 5 assists before adding four goals in nine playoff games. With the Sharks adding Erik Karlsson in the off-season, expect Kane to tally up the points this season.
