Erik Karlsson is widely considered to be the best defenceman in the NHL, and he had some great praise for the next big thing in Ottawa.
Last year at the World Junior Hockey Championship, Thomas Chabot let the world know that he was on his way to the NHL sometime soon. He was voted as the tournament MVP by members of the media, putting up 10 points in 7 games. Well, apparently he hasn’t stopped there because Erik Karlsson has been very impressed with the young defenceman so far.
If the Sens are hoping to replicate or even expand on their success last season, another Erik Karlsson would definitely help.
Either way, he’ll be exciting to watch. With Karlsson’s usual defence partner, Marc Methot, in Dallas now, perhaps they could even be on the same line. That would definitely have Sens fans in a state of disbelief. They might as well change the logo to this surprised version.
