We know we say it a lot, but we’re truly questioning how anyone couldn’t be romantic about baseball? Its simplicity makes the perfect foundation for some pretty incredible stories to evolve.

So luckily for us, Eloy Jimenez continued to feed our feel-good story-loving selves with his latest act of kindness.

Back in April, Jimenez had told a young fan named Brady Nelson who has been battling cancer, that his first homerun would be dedicated to him. Flash forward to July 27th when Jimenez homered against the Kansas City Royals after missing a good portion of the season due to a ruptured left pectoral tendon.

Well, after a few weeks we’re happy to share that Jimenez and 12-year-old Brady were able to finally meet!

HOW SWEET IS THAT!? These two absolutely stole our hearts with their friendship.
