If there's one thing Canucks fans are looking forward to, it's the future.
We're not saying Vancouver is going to be bad this season, but chances are they don't make the playoffs for a 4th-straight season. Back to looking forward to the future, this season is the perfect chance for young players to get valuable experience.
Elias Pettersson, Vancouver's first-round pick in 2017 (drafted 5th overall) figures to be a big part of the Canucks' future and it's easy to see why the team, along with fans, are excited about him:
Pettersson made that move look absolutely effortless and if you've followed the 19-year-old over the course of his young career, you'd know making incredible goals look effortless is just what he does.
It remains to be seen how he'll fare in the NHL, but Pettersson appears to have all the talent in the world to turn into the next great Canuck forward.
