Elias Pettersson is quietly enjoying another dominant season with the Canucks.

Through 14 games, the 20-year-old has already collected 20 points; good enough for sixth in the league ahead of Alex Ovechkin (19). Last week proved to be one of Pettersson’s most dominant as a pro, as he managed to collect a ridiculous three goals and three assists in just three games. The effort was strong enough to earn him the NHL’s first star of the week, but the classy Swede (unsurprisingly) didn’t take any of the credit. When asked about the honour, Pettersson insisted “the team helps make me look good.”

Did you expect anything else?!

Speaking of his teammates, some of them have been red-hot to start the season as well. Line-mates Brock Boeser and J.T. Miller have 16 and 15 points respectively, and captain Bo Horvat isn’t far behind with 13 of his own. All four have helped the ‘Nucks earn the second spot in the Pacific Division so far.

We have a feeling this won’t be the last time Pettersson wins the award, and deflects credit either. He's averaging more than a point per game with 86 in 85 to date.
