The NHL and EA Sports revealed that Toronto Maple Leafs centre Auston Matthews will be on the cover of NHL 20 during this year’s NHL Awards in Las Vegas and he’s not going to be the only player on the cover of this year’s edition of the game.
On Wednesday, the EA Sport NHL team announced that Winnipeg Jets winger Patrik Laine will grace the cover of Finland’s version of NHL 20, while Vancouver Canucks centre Elias Pettersson will grace the cover of Sweden’s version of NHL 20.
The 2019 Calder Trophy winner will be making his video game cover debut, while Laine will be on the cover of Finland’s version of the game for the second straight year, but they were both equally stoked about landing the cover.
Sorry Jets fans and Canucks fans, you’re still going to have to purchase the version with Auston Matthews on the cover since these versions are only available in Finland and Sweden.
