Tom Brady is considered by most to be the greatest quarterback in NFL history. His six Championship rings are unmatched, and he was paramount in the New England Patriots dynasty that has given opposing teams nightmares since 2001 – particularly in playoffs.
Saying that, Brady – just like Superman – has a Kryptonite. We aren’t going to include Nick Foles as a Kryptonite just yet, but Eli Manning certainly fits the bill.
Brady has met Eli in the playoffs twice (both times in the Super Bowl, as each quarterback has only started for one team in opposing conferences), and both times Eli has gotten the better of Brady. While Manning may not be considered in the most elite tier of quarterbacks, his two Super Bowl victories over Brady have cemented his place in football lore.
Is it any surprise that the rivalry hasn’t quite died?
After Eli Manning finally decided it was time to join Twitter, it didn’t take long for Brady to kick off a virtual rivalry. And it’s incredible.
So gutty. Imagine if Eli tells Brady to delete Twitter because he always disappeared in the 4th quarter against the Giants… IMAGINE!!!!
