The Minnesota high school hockey tournament, more fondly known as the tourney, has to be the best source of hockey hair in the world.
Player in the NHL have to take things a little more seriously, so we aren’t treated to this kind of fun as much at that level. Just look at the Leafs, they wouldn’t even be able to do most of these haircuts because of team rules that don’t allow long hair or facial hair.
So, when the tourney comes around, we treasure every moment. In fact, there are some early favourites already for the best hair.

Keep in mind, it’s still early. Since they tweeted out this photo, another contender has emerged.
What will truly decide who has the best hair, is the video we really wait for around this time. Game On! Minnesota releases a video every year of the “Minnesota State High School All Hockey Hair Team” and that really decides the winner.
So, we’re still waiting for the final reveal, but we’ll be watching all along the way.
