Jordan Mailata spent last year as a member of the Under 20s team for the South Sydney Rabbitohs of the National Rugby League. This year, he’s looking to crack the Philadelphia Eagles’ roster despite never playing a single down of American football in his life.
The Sydney, Australia native is 6-foot-8 and weighs 346 pounds, so the Eagles didn’t care that he had no knowledge of the NFL or American football because he still has the opportunity to completely rag doll his opponents due to his size.
Considering he’s both the tallest and heaviest person listed on the Eagles’ current roster, it’s easy to be intimidated by the 21-year-old just by standing in front of him. However, he’s a prime example of why you never judge someone based on their appearance because he also happens to have the voice of an angel.
Mailata should look into starting a side project with rookie offensive lineman Ian Park, because he also has a very good set of pipes.
