The 2019-20 NHL season is quickly approaching which means the release of EA Sports’ NHL 20 is right around the corner.

Over the past few weeks, fans have been able to get sneak peeks at some of the new features in the game, which include a new commentary team and featured squad battles. Now, the EA Sports team is starting to reveal the overall ratings for some of the players in their upcoming release, starting with 2019 first overall pick Jack Hughes.

The New Jersey Devils centre will make his EA Sports NHL video game debut with an overall rating of 82, which is the same rating they gave Buffalo Sabres defenceman Rasmus Dahlin last year.

If you’re a Devils fan and you’re offended by Hughes’ overall rating, don’t worry because Connor McDavid had the same overall rating his rookie season, while Elias Pettersson was rated 78 overall in last year’s game and Auston Matthews was a 77 in NHL 17.
