There are always going to be people that disagree with player ratings for sports video games, but that's what makes ratings releases fun, the debates.
NHL 19 is coming out in September, but EA Sports is dropping the ratings of the top-50 players in the game this week and Thursday, numbers 30-21 were revealed.
The ratings didn't solve the "Matthews vs. Laine" debate as they're both 89s, but Laine gave his take on the debate on Wednesday while playing Fortnite:
As both players head into year three, it'll be fun to watch them continue to develop and prove who the better player is with their play on the ice.
