Dustin Johnson smashed a 489-yard drive, but it won't count as a PGA Tour record

If there's one thing we'll never get tired of watching Dustin Johnson do, it's hit a golf ball as hard as he can with his driver.

The 33-year-old amazed us and the golf world once again on Friday at the WGC-Dell Match Play in Austin as he absolutely crushed a 489-yard drive.

As you can see, no videos of the drive have been posted to social media, but the pictures give you all the proof you need to ensure it actually happened.

Unfortunately for Johnson, stats don't count at the WGC-Dell Match Play, but if they did, it would have been the longest drive in the ShotLink era.

.@DJohnsonPGA hit a 489-yard drive at the par-5 12th. While stats do not officially count at @DellMatchPlay, by comparison, the official longest drive in the ShotLink era (since 2003) is 476 yards by @Love3d at the 2004 @Sentry_TOC.
