Minor League Baseball teams are always coming up with creative ideas and uniforms for their theme nights. From incorporating pop culture to collaborating with other teams within the city, we’ve seen just about every theme night possible but they’re always finding ways to make them different from the last one.
Later this summer, the Durham Bulls will host a Hockey Night when they take on the Gwinnett Stripers on Thursday, August 23, and they’re teaming up with the Carolina Hurricanes for uniform inspiration.
The Tampa Bay Rays’ Triple-A affiliate will swap in their traditional blue, orange, black and white uniforms and hit the field in Carolina Hurricanes red, white, silver and black.
The night will be full of both hockey and baseball related promotions, as well as appearances from the Hurricanes’ mascot Stormy and the Pepsi Storm Squad, who will facilitate the in-game promotions and pump up the crowd with cheers and skits.
