The storied Duke-North Carolina rivalry delivered another classic on Saturday, with Duke requiring not one but two buzzer-beaters to pull off a miraculous victory.

First, Tre Jones had to perfectly redirect his own miss off the front rim back to himself, just to get a chance to tie it down two. Somehow getting a shot off amid a throng of defenders, this thrilling end to regulation would’ve made a game great on its own.

The theatrics didn’t end there! After a well-fought overtime period, Jones was back at the line with seconds left, this time tied. We’re sure that he didn’t mean to miss this time, but it all worked out with a chaotic putback layup by Wendell Moore to win it at the buzzer.

Sheesh. Duke is a top-ranked team this season while North Carolina has fallen out of the top-25 for the first time in years, but you still can’t take anything away from the emotional oomph of a close win in one of sports’ great rivalries.
