The William Nylander saga is finally over. Or at least, we think it is.

Since Nylander signed on the dotted line just moments before the 5pm ET December 1st deadline, there has been all sorts of wild speculation to do with the young forward’s future. Many believe that the Toronto Maple Leafs over-committed on the amount of money they were giving Nylander, and as a result he would have to be traded if the Buds hoped to sign other young superstars – mainly Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner.

According to the Leafs GM Kyle Dubas, that is not the case.

Leafs fans may be excited to hear this, or they may question how the heck the Leafs will be moving forward financially. Either way, they’re bound to be excited at least for this season.
