It’s not a great feeling to take the ice and be forced to simply skate around, lucky to get a shot or two before puck drop. That’s sometimes the case when the team is only able to scrap together a couple stray pucks before the game begins, though.
The BarDown ASHL team wanted to make sure they didn’t have that problem as they took the Canlan ice. In preparation for their Sunday evening game, we managed to round up 1,000 pucks. Considering there was approximately 50 pucks per player, there certainly wasn’t a shortage. Instead, it led to absolute chaos. Who would have guessed?
Okay, the cleanup was a little insane. We’re thinking maybe we’ll keep the puck count to one box for next game. Can’t afford delay of game penalties assessed during the roundup…
