Draymond Green does a very good job at getting under the skin of other players. He also does a good job of backing up his trash talk on both ends of the court.
During Game 2 against the New Orleans Pelicans on Tuesday night, Draymond got into with Rajon Rondo ahead of the halftime break. As a result, NBA on TNT analyst and former NBA star Charles Barkley started off the halftime segment by saying he would love to punch the Warriors’ forward in the face and hopes someone steps up and does it soon. During the post-game press conference, Green was asked about Barkley’s comments and fired right back at Barkley.
The 2017 NBA Defensive Player of the Year was quick to clap back at Barkley with his answer and was not afraid to call him out…or old.
“A lot of guys talk on TV, stand behind the microphone on the TV screen. Face of the matter is, if you feel that strongly about something, he’s even seen me a million times, then punch me in my face when you see me. If you’re not going to punch me in my face when you see me, then shut up. It’s no different than somebody sitting behind a computer screen, tweeting, ‘I’ll knock you out,’ and you never see him in life.
“He’s seen me a bunch of times. Punch me in the face when you see me, or if not, no one cares what you would have done. You’re old and it is what it is. You ain’t going to punch me when you see me, then stop talking about it, period.”
Even Draymond’s mom fired shots back at Chuck after his comments about her son.
