Kawhi Leonard put on a show for Toronto Raptors fans on Friday night at the ACC. Leonard, appearing in his second official game with the team, poured in a game-high 31 points – including 15 in the third quarter alone – and earned “M-V-P” chants from the Raps’ faithful.
"It's Game 2, but I appreciate the support," Leonard told reporters when asked about the chanting crowd. "I know they're excited about us winning the game tonight, and I appreciate it."
Leonard’s performance caught the eye of the Raps' global ambassador and Toronto product Drake, who took to Instagram following the game to let the world know about Kawhi’s big performance.
“This is fun. LETS GO RAPTORS!!! I can’t wait to get home and see a game,” said the 6ix God.
Touring with Migos, Drake is in the home stretch of wrapping up his ”Aubrey & The Three Migos” and played the fifth of seven concerts in Los Angeles on Friday night.
When he returns to Toronto come mid-November, not only will he be stepping foot onto the hardwood at Scotia Bank Arena, but the basketball court he’s building in his 15,000 square foot mansion.
