Drake was a big topic all throughout the NBA playoffs, but now there is a report that he was a big topic in Kawhi Leonard’s meeting with the Raptors. But some fans don’t believe it.
Chris Broussard has been one of the most active members of the media in all of the Kawhi rumours that have come out since the end of the NBA season, and he offered up a lot of detail on the morning of July 4. Broussard was one of the first people to say that he was almost definitely a Laker, but he appears to have pulled back on that, claiming the Raptors had a “strong meeting” with Kawhi and that Drake was heavily involved.
There seems to be a lack of information about Kawhi’s decision out there, so fans are immediately skeptical about everything, but one aspect really has people calling it into question: that Drake was reportedly in Miami at the time of the meeting, recording a music video with Chris Brown, and fans tracked his plane as flying back from Miami to Toronto at almost 5am Eastern. Once again, no one knows who was on the OVO plane that landed in Toronto at 7:15am, but fans are running with it.
You don’t have to be present to be heavily involved in a meeting either, but skepticism is at an all time high at this point. Less than an hour after Broussard tweet that update, Frank Isola shared this.
Nobody seems to know who to believe.
