Do you want Drake around your team? From recent evidence, maybe not. The so-called “Drake Curse” has been all the rage recently, with everyone from Leafs fans to the Paris Saint-Germain football club over in France blaming Drake’s proximity for losses.
But there were no mystical hijinks at play when Drake was at his usual courtside seats for the Raptors’ Game 5 against the Magic. No, the Raptors just crushed them outright, 115-96, to advance to the second round.
Curse? What curse?
Drake isn’t having any of it.
It’s all in good fun, but of course, the Raptors swear by Drake — they wouldn’t make the man their global ambassador if they were afraid of a curse!
Likewise, Mike Babcock and the Leafs aren’t worried by the Drake Curse either.
