Say what you want about Drake, but he’s like a dog on a bone when it comes to getting what he wants. He has undeniably had a positive impact on the Toronto Raptors, whether it’s through his celebrity endorsement, his distinguished branding, his befriending of players, or his trolling of opponents.

Now, Drake wants even more basketball in Toronto.

On Wednesday, Drake took to his Instagram story to call on the WNBA to bring a team to Toronto. Whether he wants it through expansion of relocation isn’t clear, maybe it doesn’t even matter, but he’s certainly stirred the pot on a conversation that has been getting louder and louder over the past few years since the Raps won a Championship.

After his Instagram Story went viral, Drake doubled down on the idea by declaring who he would want to see as the hypothetical Toronto team’s face of the franchise.

For those around the WNBA world, Liz Cambage – pictured above with Drake – is a legend. Any new WNBA franchise would certainly love to tip things off with the four-time All-Star who holds the record for most points scored in a single game (53).

On top of the exciting idea proposed by Drake, Cambage seems 100% on board with the idea. She left a comment on the post saying “LETS TAKE IT TO THE 6 PAPIIIIIIII”.

Additionally, she shared the post on her story with a handful of emojis clearly showing her desire to head up north.
