Tuesday night, the Carolina Hurricanes will be rocking a classic jersey for the second and final time this season when they take on the Bruins in Boston.

That classic jersey is none other than that of the Hartford Whalers and the first time the Hurricanes wore the sweater, there were complaints, some specifically about Dougie Hamilton being allowed to wear No. 19.

John McKenzie's number was retired, but the Hurricanes obviously allowed Hamilton to wear it and some people were more upset about him wearing the number than others.

In response to some of the criticism, Hamilton made a number change to his Hartford helmet at practice on Monday and all we can say about it is it's a nice number change.

It's good to see Hamilton having some fun with the criticism.  He and his teammates have been criticized on more than one occasion this season thanks to the "Storm Surge," but they don't seem to care about the outside noise, nor should they.

Instead, they've continued to have fun and not let any of the outside noise have an impact on them, and it's led to some really good results recently.
