There’s a lot of brotherly love in the NHL as it seems like siblings are consistently brought onto the same teams to play together.
We’ve seen it with players like the Sedins, Eric and Jordan Staal, the Schenns, the Benns, the Niedermayers and many others, but for most, their time together comes to the end at some point. That time came yesterday for Freddie and Dougie Hamilton, when Freddie was waived from the team and picked up by Arizona.
Dougie was asked about the transaction today and he did not seem thrilled with the transaction. He refused to answer any questions about his brother.
Jermain put it best, if you don’t have anything good to say, don’t say it at all.
Freddie only played 8 games for the Flames this season, so it probably makes sense logistically. Perhaps he can get some more playing time with the Coyotes who have struggled mightily this season.
