Sometimes, actions speak louder than words.
Just ask Carolina Hurricanes defenceman Dougie Hamilton, who put a fan in his place while serving a penalty. With the Canes up 6-3, an Oilers fan (for whatever reason) decided to chirp the 26-year-old from the box. Hamilton figured he’d have a little fun with the situation, so he decided to point to the scoreboard and remind the spectator he’d be going home with an L.
You just love to see it!
Hamilton finished the game with a goal and an assist, adding to what’s been a career year for him so far. The 2011 9th overall pick now has 30 points in 31 games and has the Hurricanes sitting pretty in third place (19-11-1) in the Metropolitan division. Edmonton on the other hand dropped their third loss in their last four games.
The Hurricanes really are a bunch of jerks and we absolutely love it. Well played, Dougie.
